Argentine engineer Horacio Pagani is the founder of Pagani Automobili S.p.A., an Italian specialty auto-maker creating one of the most prestigious supercars in the world.

For many years Horacio worked for Italian luxury supercar manufacturer Lamborghini, first as a mechanic and later on as head of the composite material department. With a strong passion for fast cars, combined with his keen interest in the super-light, yet super-strong material, carbon fiber and his vast experience in the design and creation of luxury supercars, more and more Horacio was convinced he could design a faster, lighter, and more luxurious supercar than what was on the market at the time; so, that’s exactly what he did.

Pagani’s cars are true engineering marvels. His first production car, the Pagani Zonda, was a huge success and certainly got the attention of many, breaking speed records set by some of the biggest names in the business, including Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche and even Bugatti.

With tons of design and engineering awards to back it up and with a price tag of over $1 million, Pagani’s latest dream car, the Pagani Huayra, is on the road to becoming the greatest supercar ever built; that is, until Horacaio comes out with something faster, lighter and even more powerful.

Definitely watch the videos towards the bottom of this article to get a feel for what it’s like to drive one of these dream machines.
