Anthony Howe and his spectacularly elegant 3D Kinetic Wind Sculptures

I was bored with everything being static in my visual world…

Painter turned sculptor, Anthony Howe believes sculptures do not have to necessarily be static. With computer-aided design software programs AutoCAD and Rhinoceros 3D, Anthony designs the models and examines how they will move and react to the wind. He then laser cuts these designs using a plasma cutter and meticulously crafts the sculptures by hand using traditional metal work procedures.

Watch the videos below for an interview with Anthony Howe and to admire his beautiful sculptures elegantly moving in the wind. Phenomenal (and truly unique!) work.
